Palantir reports booming U.S. commercial revenue growth, topping government for first time
Palantir's U.S. commercial business has overtaken its government segment for the first time, a useful signal that enterprise spending on production AI systems is accelerating. Commercial revenue rose 148% to $984 million, passing government revenue of $953 million and shifting the company's center of gravity toward private-sector customers. For AI builders, the result suggests buyers are moving beyond model experiments and paying for software that connects AI to operational data, permissions, and workflows. Palantir has built its commercial pitch around deploying AI inside existing organizations rather than selling standalone models. The revenue crossover also matters strategically: Palantir is becoming less dependent on public-sector contracts, while demonstrating that enterprise AI platforms can generate substantial revenue when they are tied to measurable business processes.
